2. Information We Collect

Depending on the features you use, LUWAS may process the following information:

Account information: username, first and last name, email address, Philippine mobile phone number, account role, and password information stored in protected form.
Household and safety information: household member profiles, household size, address, pregnancy-related information, disability or special-assistance information, and other information needed for evacuation support.
Location information: GPS coordinates, selected map locations, typed addresses, evacuation routes, and locations attached to emergency requests.
Emergency and communication information: emergency type and description, contact number supplied with a request, messages with responders or evacuation centers, request status and history, evacuation check-in and check-out records, feedback, and bug reports.
Weather and notification information: requested weather and rainfall data, hazard and safety alerts, notification preferences, and a push notification token when notifications are enabled.
Technical information: authentication/session information, app settings, locally cached data needed for app operation, and limited diagnostic information when collected by the service.

Some household and health-related details may be sensitive personal information. Please provide only information that is necessary for emergency preparedness and assistance.

3. How We Use Information

Create and maintain your LUWAS account and verify your contact details.
Authenticate your login and protect the service.
Provide weather, rainfall, hazard, evacuation-center, map, and route information.
Receive and process emergency assistance requests.
Coordinate with authorized responders and evacuation-center personnel.
Record evacuation check-in and check-out activity.
Send important alerts and notifications.
Respond to support requests, feedback, and bug reports.
Comply with legal, public-safety, and emergency-response obligations.

4. Location and Emergency Data

Location and emergency information may be visible to authorized personnel who need it to coordinate assistance. Location access helps identify your position, send an emergency request, show evacuation centers, and provide map or route information. You may disable location permission, but some features may not work properly.

5. How Information Is Shared

We may share relevant information only as needed to provide the service with authorized MDRRMO or emergency-response personnel, authorized evacuation-center personnel, responders handling an emergency request, and service providers that support email, SMS, notifications, hosting, or technical infrastructure.

Information may also be disclosed to government or law-enforcement authorities when required by law or necessary to respond to a serious emergency. We do not sell personal information.

6. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as necessary to provide LUWAS, maintain emergency and evacuation records, meet legal or public-safety requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies.

7. Account Deletion

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information, including HTTPS communication, protected authentication storage, access controls, and role-based access. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your password confidential.

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. You may also withdraw consent where applicable, ask questions about data use, or file a complaint with the appropriate privacy authority.
